Tech Tip: If you’re using a server computer to only host the network licenses, you do not need the full CAMWorks install. To find the installation files, register and login to the Customer Area on Navigate to Support > Customer Area, and click on CAMWorks Downloads.
This guide assumes you have already installed CAMWorks. Tech Tip: A hardware dongle (USB) can be used in place of a standalone license file for additional security, however keep in mind that the USB dongle is effectively your license and a new license will need to be purchased if lost or stolen. The two main types of CAMWorks licenses are Standalone and Network, and both require a Flex LM license file be requested when setting up the CAMWorks License Manager.
